Community members from St Columb Major Parish have been meeting with a view to develop a Parish Plan. Towns and Parishes throughout Cornwall have been doing the same for a number years and many, including neighbours Newquay, St Enoder and St Mawgan, already have plans published. As we move forwards, Cornwall Council and other funding bodies will require evidence of need before releasing funds for projects. Town and Parish plans are considered to be the best source of evidence for funding applications.

The Steering Group have been developing a questionnaire to be delivered to every household in the Parish in October 2011 so you can have your say on the issues that matter to you. Once the questionnaires have been returned and analysed, we will draft the plan and publish this as our evidence base for change for the better.
