Our vision for this fine building is to inspire the St Columb Major community spirit by offering a local venue for all kinds of activities.

The Columba Centre comprises two venues within one: the large, main hall and the smaller Vyvyan Room with a small foyer and kitchen adjoining the two. There is also a main foyer with toilet facilities.

Already we have the monthly market bringing people together in a convivial atmosphere where handmade goods and local produce are on sale at reasonable prices. The café selling homemade cakes has become a busy meeting place.

Several organisations hire the centre at an extremely competitive rate, providing a range of activities for all ages: from the toddler group to Cornish wrestling to yoga to crafts. You can download our hiring form.

The rooms can also be hired on a private basis for one-off functions. We welcome enquiries and are keen to help in any way we can.

For the past two years we have held a free Christmas party for children from the Parish of St Columb. This has been well supported and we hope to carry on this tradition as well as being open to new ideas.
