You would be very welcome to join us for worship, services and any other activities coming up in the church are shown here:
You can see a full list of services for the next few months for this parish or the cluster which we form with the United Benefice of St Mawgan, St Eval & St Ervan. If you wish to make arrangements for a wedding or baptism in any of our four churches please contact the Cluster Office (01637-880252) in the first instance.
The list of Priests who have served here dates back to 1257 and we are currently seeking a new Rector to work in these four parishes. You can read the Profile Document we have drawn up to inform prospective clergy (11 megabyte file).
The present church, a fine Grade 1 listed building dating originally from the 14th century, stands on a plateau at the head of the fertile Vale of Lanherne. It is normally open to visitors during daylight hours and is well worth a visit.
Teams from the four parishes in our cluster present bible stories using the Open the Book material at assemblies in the three primary schools in our area. This is much appreciated by both the staff and the pupils who join in enthusiastically with their parts.
Our parish church has tremendous potential as a concert venue for acoustic music. Not only does it boast a noted Bryceson pipe organ and a good quality grand piano, but the building itself has a generous, warm acoustic.
Each summer, at the end of August, the Harmoniemusik ensemble, a group of professional musicians from London, present a series of chamber music concerts to an enthusiastic and appreciative audience.
If you would like to find out more about what it means to be a Christian, and are not able to attend church for whatever reason, you can sign up here for a five week basic course by email provided by the Church Army.
